Challenge
Ottawa University needed a strategy that would help its enrollment counselors be welcomed into area high schools by principals and teachers and leave a positive impression with the students they engaged in the classroom. The university looked to this and other programs to drive a 15 percent increase in enrollment at its traditional campus.

Solution
The agency developed a campaign that is interactive, evergreen, flexible for any classroom and of equal interest to teachers and students. Built around the theme, “Social Media, From Fun to Functional,” the campaign showed how social media tools students use for fun could form the basis of a successful college experience and career. An ever-evolving review of social media applications, and the use of interactive voting technology resulted in an engaged audience and accumulating research the university could leverage for future efforts. A PowerPoint presentation, instructor notes and training for the sales team completed the effort.

Results
With the first year of the campaign underway, the university has gained access to a significantly higher volume of classrooms and student interest and inquiries leading to individual meetings are on the increase. Sales team members report higher satisfaction and ease of presentation as well.
