Linda Word, Principal

Linda serves as the creative director overseeing brand strategy and marketing on multiple levels for many clients, charities and civic organizations. Her deep roots in the urban community have helped to facilitate downtown’s resurgence through her work with the Downtown Council, Downtown Marketing Group (a consortium of vested industry organizations and players), Urban Core and work with The Cordish Company.

Her commitment to improving the lives of people is evidenced locally through her work with the City Union Mission, Multiple Sclerosis Society of Mid-America, and Katy’s Place. Her commitment also has crossed US borders, through her work with Habitat for Humanity. She has helped to build houses in the underdeveloped countries of Haiti, Guatemala and Brazil.

Linda is a member of the inaugural class of Kansas City’s “50 Most Influential Women” as awarded by KC Business Magazine and has been involved with the Association of Professional Design Firms, a North American network of firms specializing in graphic and product design as a business; currently serves on the advisory council for Johnson County Community College’s graphic design program; and has taught design at the Kansas City Art Institute. She is originally from the east coast and graduated from the University of Kansas.
